Outside visits are always a highlight for the Coads Green WI who received a very warm welcome from Jo Colwill and her team of Jane and Ellen at Cowslip Workshops, on the evening of March 8th.

President, Linda Willan, welcomed members who had braved the elements to meet and enjoy a craft evening together.

Jo introduced the project which was to make a seasonal daffodil wall hanging and supplied the group with all the necessary materials and expert guidance to complete it.

A delicious supper was provided and all the participants were able to take their finished work home with them.

Christine Walters gave the vote of thanks and mentioned how enjoyable the session had been.

The evening finished with birthday posies being presented to Rosemary O’Brien and Linda Willan.

Vivienne Daniel won the flower of the month competition, with Alison Gribble in second place. Alison won the monthly competition, with Vivienne Daniel in second place and Christine Walters in third.

The next meeting will be held on April 12 at 7.30pm in the Chapel Parlour when the guest speaker will be Ali Fenn whose talk will be entitled “From Warmonger to Charity Chugger”.
