A MAJOR road between Launceston and Callington was closed for a short period after a single-vehicle collision.

It was reported that a 4x4 vehicle towing a trailer had overturned.

Police have confirmed there were no injuries after the incident which saw both lanes blocked while police attended the incident.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were called at 1.45pm, October 24, following a single-vehicle collision on the A388 at Treburley, Launceston.

“The 4x4 vehicle was towing a trailer which overturned. Both lanes were blocked. No injuries reported. The road was reopened around 2.20pm.”
