IT WAS another wonderful day for this year’s annual Poughill Revel and Cuckoo Fair!
Organisers were blessed with beautiful sunshine and it was great to see so many people enjoying the games and stalls, tractor rides and eating ice creams and candy floss.
The children’s races were well attended too.
This year’s Revel Queen was Olivia Midelton, and her attendants were Ellie Midelton and Esme Colwill.
They were dressed in mint green and looked beautiful on stage.
The Revel was blessed by the Rev Neil Street and opened by the Rev Douglas Adams. The lovely sounds of Bude Metric Brass were heard throughout the field, and CJ’s Dance School presented some amazing performances!
It was a great day and raised an amazing amount of funds which will be presented to local charities and organisations at the Revel’s ‘Thank you Evening’ in November.
A spokesman said: “The committee would like to thank all those who helped us and were involved on the day, as well as the locals and holidaymakers for supporting us once again! Your help and support allow us to keep this wonderful village tradition going and we hope the Revel will continue for many years to come!”
