ON FRIDAY, May 25, Bude Town Band hosted an evening of entertainment with Johnny Cowling at Penstowe Manor.
The evening was held to raise money towards the band’s new hall, raising mover £1,500 in total.
Unfortunately, Bude Town Band are due to move from their current band hall at Lynstone Road, Bude, so for several years have been raising money to build a new band hall. To date, planning has been approved on a site near to Morrisons, which has been allocated by Cornwall Council, and the infrastructure has been completed.
Bude Town Band still need to raise money to complete the hall, having secured £135,000 towards the actual building.
To make a donation or a promise, or for an organisation that thinks they would like to use the new hall, contact Bridget Inch on 01288 331 404 or email [email protected].
A spokesperson from the band said: “Bude Town Band would like to thank everyone that supported their evening and a special thanks to Simon Carey and all the staff at Penstowe Manor, Kilkhampton, for making us feel so welcome.”
