IT is officially carnival season!

While looking at the weather, it might seem more like September than July, there is still plenty to get stuck into, and St Breward has kickstarted the season.

St Breward Carnival week has provided entertainment for all, with a variety of activities and events to enjoy.

Daily events have been on offer throughout the week, ranging from quizzes, traditional storytelling, comedy from funny man Johnny Cowling and bingo.

The village has come out in full force to support this year’s carnival with lots of money raised.

Funds help support the Carnival’s organisation and events but grants are also given to local community groups.

St Breward carnival day was the highlight with lots of fabulous entries. Royalty floats were out in force, with entries coming from all over Cornwall.

A spokesperson from the event added: “It was a delight to see so many happy youngsters running around enjoying the carnival spirit.”
