A HOLIDAY park in Bude has been named ‘Best in Britain’ at a recent award ceremony. 

Sandymouth Holiday Resort scooped top prize at the recent 17th-annual Hoseasons Awards. 

A celebration of the holiday parks, lodge resorts and boating locations across the company’s UK portfolio, the ceremony hopes to highlight those who have achieved the highest scores in independent customer satisfaction surveys throughout the 2023 season.

Drew Campbell, group operations director at Darwin Escapes, the parent company of Sandymouth Holiday Resort, said: “We were really pleased to be recognised with the regional award, but being named Best in Britain has really blown us away! 

“In the end it all comes down to the hard work the team puts into looking after our guests. They do a fantastic job when it comes to providing excellent holiday experiences and that’s why we have so many happy customers.”

Speaking after presenting the awards Luke Hansford, senior vice president of supply at Hoseasons, said: “It takes something special to be named Best of Britain at these awards, particularly when you consider the quality of the competition.
