THE leader of Cornwall council is visiting Bude to hear the views and opinions of residents on important local issues.

As part of the ‘Listening to you’ live events, Cllr Linda Taylor will be visiting Bude next week to hear from locals about some of their thoughts and concerns.

Cllr Taylor is holding 12 public meetings, to meet and hear from Cornwall's residents – on May 13, she will be visiting Bude.

The event, hosted at the Falcone Hotel, begins at 7pm.

Residents are invited to visit and ask questions to Cllr Taylor about local issues, Cornwall Council services and priorities or are just interested to hear the conversation.

Cornwall Council has explained that hearing directly from people helps Cllr Taylor and her cabinet colleagues to understand what is on people's minds.

A council spokesperson said: “Everyone is welcome to come along to one of the events, whether to ask a question or just to listen to the discussion

“We will try to hear from as many people as possible at each event, and will ask that people only ask one question until everyone has had a chance to ask their question

“Please think about the question you would most like to ask Cllr Linda Taylor.”
