THE rural parts of Week St Mary could become home to the UK's biggest solar farm.

Covering over 200 acres of land and holding 135,000 photovoltaic panels, the solar farm sited for land adjacent Little Exe Cottage, would, if approved, be over five times bigger than the UK's current largest at South Brent.

Good Energy, the renewable electricity firm which owns the wind farm site at Delabole, is behind the scheme.

In its application to Cornwall Council, it states that 15 fields belonging to four different land owners have been identified for the development.
