THE Christmas Fair held in Lifton Community Centre proved another tremendous success for Launceston and District Cats Protection.
Crowds of customers turned up on Saturday, November 16, to support their local branch while seeking out countless bargains in the run up to Christmas.
A special raffle of a large Cats Protection hamper, packed full of goodies, proved popular, in addition to the usual raffle which included prizes kindly donated by Tesco and the Arundell Arms proved popular. A spokesperson said: “Your patronage is much appreciated, thank you.”
The end result was an astounding £2,028.45 raised, mainly from sales of donated goods, Cats Protection goods and delicious refreshments.
The spokesperson continued: “This considerable amount will help cover rising costs associated with caring for the cats and kittens at our local branch, that is working hard to meet the increasing demands placed upon it.
“A massive thank you to everyone, both supporters and volunteers who together created such an enjoyable atmosphere on the day!”
They added: “We hope to see you again next year.”
