BUDE-Stratton Town Council have revealed the final designs for a brand new skatepark set to be built in the town.
At the most recent full council meeting, Bude-Stratton Town Council approved the final designs for the facility.
Included in plans are a large open skating space, complete with a bowl, rails, quarter-pipes, and a ‘surf-skate’ area.
A spokesperson from the council said: “This approval represents a significant advancement in the council's ongoing efforts to improve recreational facilities for the local community.”
With the designs now approved, the project will move forward to the next critical stage, submitting the plans for planning permission.
Once this permission is granted, the council has explained that a detailed construction timeline will be established, bringing the much-anticipated skatepark closer to reality.
A council spokesperson added: “The council extends its gratitude to all community members who participated in the consultation process. The feedback received was invaluable in shaping the final designs, ensuring the skatepark will meet the diverse needs of local skateboarders and provide a vibrant space for all ages.
“The council remains committed to keeping the public informed throughout the Planning Permission phase and subsequent stages of the project.”
