BUDE Eye Centre is pleased to celebrate the success of Miss Hannah Knowles in obtaining her degree level professional qualifications as a fully qualified dispensing optician. The professional qualifying exams are very demanding and after four years of committed hard work, Hannah passed with flying colours.

A qualified dispensing optician has an in-depth knowledge of the complex technological designs of modern spectacle lens and frame fitting. Hannah’s training means she will have the skills to ensure all their patients’ eyewear fits well, looks good and satisfies the demands of their visual requirements. Hannah will also be able to competently deal with complex, unusual prescriptions, and specialist frame fittings.

Hannah, who grew up locally, joined Bude Eye Centre five years ago.

Hannah said: “I’ve really enjoyed being able to use my knowledge and skills to provide a personal service to the local community, many of whom I know personally through my years growing up in Bude.”

Apart from her interest in optics, Hannah also enjoys long country walks and home DIY. Hannah is also busy planning her wedding next year, another happy occasion to look forward to!

Bude Eye Centre, a local independent optician, has looked after the local community for almost 15 years.

With Hannah now having gained her full qualification, they look forward to continue providing a modern, friendly and local service.
