JUST under 70 tractors gathered in Highampton on Sunday, August 28 to take part in a tractor run which saw £1,340 raised for the Highhampton Church roof fund.
Kindly organised by Richard Cleave, the route saw the tractors run through Sheepwash, Dipper Mill, muddy fields, Dunsland Park, Lashbrook, Black Torrington and back to Highampton via lots of small bumpy roads before enjoying a hog roast and selection of cakes once they had finished.
The event was a great success and thanks were expressed to Richard for putting this event together, all those who attended, Tony Knight for hosting at the Golden Inn, Willie Cleave for donating the hog roast and everyone who provided cakes or helped throughout the day.
