THERE has been huge success for the Jason Thomas street dance team, who has a studio in Bude, in a recent competition.
Students at the Truro and Bude Jason Thomas Performing Arts (JTPA) studios had a hugely successful competition at the UDO South West Streetdance regional event in Torbay.
The students competed across the team event, duos and solo events with a number of high placed performances including first places for ‘Coco Newton’ in the under 12s solo event and the ‘Titans’ in the under 14s team event.
UDO South West Regional results: under 14 team — JTPA Titans, 1st; under 18 team — JTPA Urban Force, 5th; under 12 solo — Coco Newton, 1st; under 10 solo — Erin Aldemir, 3rd; under 12 duo — Lowen Midelton and Isabelle Colwrill, 3rd; under 14 duo — Evie Trewhela and Josh Noone, 4th.
Jason Thomas said: “I am so proud of the whole team. They produced an amazing set of performances in every category and they came away with well deserved high placings.
“They competed at an event that had a high standard of performances and to come away with so many high placings is a credit to themselves and our studio. It is a reward for all their practice, hard work and team spirit.”
