After two years away Lewannick Amateur Dramatic Society (LADS) have come back with a bang!
Their performance of “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Sisters” left audience members in stitches as the cast took them on a fun filled journey to the Wild West to find out what happened to ‘The Ugly’ sisters after ‘Cinderella’ got her fairytale ending.
The society say they are grateful to all those who came along to support them and raise £2,500 for their chosen charities this year.
A spokesperson said: “Lewannick Amateur Dramatic Society are thrilled to announce that after a two year absence, we finally got to tread the boards again.
“This year’s panto “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Sisters” was a huge success and we would like to thank everyone that supported this year’s show in any way, thanks to you we are delighted to say we are sending an amazing £2,500 to charity.”
Theses funds will be split equally with £625 going to ManDown - Launceston Branch and £625 to PoTS UK.
A further £1,250 will be divided between four small Cornish support groups for the blind.
The spokesperson added: “Our charities are chosen by group members, and we aim to support groups that have a local connection, sometimes even a personal connection to a member of our team. Times are tough for everyone at the moment so we really were amazed to discover we were able to send so much to our charities and really hope it will make a huge difference to them all.”
