A community fire station will be putting water to a different use this weekend, as they host a charity car wash.
Launceston Community Fire Station have announced that the team will be getting their water buckets out and finding their very best sponges ahead of their charity car wash raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity.
Between 10 am and 2pm on Saturday, March 9, the crew have invited residents to join them at the station while getting their cars gleaming, all in the name of a good cause.
A spokesperson from the 7.4 fire crew said: “All money raised will be donated to #thefirefighterscharity.
“Come and show some support for your local fire station and get that car of yours shining again.”
Their chosen charity aims to support both current and former fire fighters.
A spokesperson from The Firefighter Charity explained: “We’re here to ensure that you and your loved ones can easily access empowering information, advice and support, whenever you need it, helping you to live healthier and happier. “Whether you’re looking to make positive changes to your lifestyle, or in need of support with recovery from injury or illness, we have you covered.
