Launceston’s coronation celebrations have been postponed as weather puts a stop to plans.

Launceston’s picnic in the park event, which was due to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III today [May 8], has been postponed due to adverse weather.

The event promised a fun day for all, with children’s rides, sports, and food and drink available, it was Launceston’s chance to mark the occasion. However, due to poor weather conditions, the event has had to be postponed until further notice. 

Despite the cancellation of the main event, the coronation fireworks display is still set to take place at 9pm this evening.
