A MAN has died after a single vehicle road traffic collision.
The incident happened in the evening of Wednesday, June 5 on the A3072 near Holsworthy.
A silver Mercedes was involved in the incident, with the driver taken to Derriford Hospital with what were believed to be life threatening injuries in the aftermath.
Police have now confirmed that the man in his 60’s passed away the following day from his injuries with an appeal launched for witnesses who have not yet spoken to Devon and Cornwall Police to come forward.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “A man has died in hospital following a single vehicle road traffic collision on the A3072 near Holsworthy.
“Officers were called by the ambulance service at around 8.45pm on Wednesday, June 5.
“The collision involved a silver Mercedes and its driver was taken to Derriford Hospital having sustained injuries that were believed to be life-threatening.
“Sadly, the man who was in his 60s, passed away in hospital on Thursday, June 5 as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.”
