THE local Marie Curie fundraising group in Launceston is looking for new members to support the charity.
The group is in urgent need of more volunteers to aid in charity’s fundraising in Launceston.
Lynda Thomas, community fundraiser for Marie Curie said: “Launceston is an area where I urgently need more volunteers to help with collections, placing collection and daffodil boxes and more members to join the existing three volunteers who make up the local Launceston Fundraising Group.
“I invite anybody interested to have a chat with me, some people have more time than others and the roles depend on what volunteers can give in the way of time.
“I completely understand people have many commitments these days but what ever time volunteers have to support Marie Curie it is really appreciated.”
For those interested in volunteering, Lynda is holding Marie Curie’s first collection of the year at Tesco in Launceston.
“Our first collection in 2023 is at Tesco Launceston on Saturday, January 14,” said Lynda. “I will be there all day and happy to meet any new potential volunteers for a chat.”
