THE Hawkins Motor Group has partnered with Cornwall Advanced Drivers (CAD) in a bid to promote safer driving across the county.

The two organisations will work together to help continue CAD’s mission to enhance the driving experience and safety of motorists across Cornwall.

Hawkins Motor Group director, James Hawkins, said: “We are delighted to be working with the team at Cornwall Advanced Drivers.

“This partnership shows that we are committed to not only selling cars but also ensuring our customers of all ages have the opportunity to be equipped with the best driving skills for their safety and the safety of others on the road.”

The partnership aims to highlight the need for younger drivers (aged between 17 to 25) to drive safely.

Around 20 per cent of young drivers will have a crash within a year of passing their driving test with the UK having the highest young driver accident and casualty rate across Europe.

As part of the collaboration, CAD will be advising and offering training solutions to the Hawkins Group.

Hawkins will also be making their extensive range of electric cars available to CAD for the promotion of their organisation and to allow their members to experience electric driving.
