THE eastbound carriageway of the A30 between Carminow Cross and the Four Winds crossroads, near Blisland, will be closed overnight on Tuesday, March 1 as part of the major works to dual the road.
The road will close from 8pm on Tuesday, March 1 to 6am on Wednesday, March 2 — although if the works are completed earlier than planned, the road will reopen earlier.
The standard Highways England ‘diamond’ diversion route for all A30 through-traffic will be signposted from Innis Downs, returning to the A30 via the A359 at Kennard’s House.
Access will be maintained on the A30 to Carminow Cross for drivers wishing to use the A38. Early warning notices have already been placed on the A30.
For local traffic, drivers can exit the A30 at Carminow Cross and use Callywith Gate to the ‘old’ A30 for access to properties north and south of the A30. There is an alternative route for properties south of the A30 via the A38 and Fletcher’s Bridge.
This closure is for eastbound A30 traffic only — westbound A30 traffic is not affected.
