TOWNS and villages throughout the 'Post' area fell silent for two minutes as part of their tribute to the fallen of war at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 2011 on Friday and again on Remembrance Sunday. Conflicts of the past and of the present were in the minds of thousands of people who turned out for services and parades throughout the district of North Cornwall, Torridge, West Devon and Caradon.
