Robin Moore recently passed through Bude whilst on his South West pilgrimage. His aim is to walk the South West coastline from Minehead to Lands End raising awareness and funds for the Children's Hospice South West. Robin said: "There may also be an opportunity along the way to organise a few small events, and I am hoping to do one or two book signings if given the chance." In addition to the mandatory supply of sponsor forms and collection boxes distributed among the local supporters, Robin will endeavour to post over 1,000 leaflets and donation envelopes throughout the region. Robin began his walk on September 2 and will celebrate 21,000 miles that he has walked for charity since 1992, and it is hoped that the event may receive donations worldwide. Robin, of Oundle, Peterborough, was given overnight accommodation at Wyvern House, Bude, by Eileen Luxton who also does a lot of fund raising for the charity. He will also be passing through Morwenstow, Boscastle and Port Isaac. Proceeds from the walk will help build 'Little Harbour' near St Austell, Cornwall's first children's hospice, which will help provide care and support for life-limited children and their families across the South West.
