ST Swithin’s Church, Launcells, was in full swing of its 10th successive craft fair.
From September 1 to 7 the church once again is packed with goodies ranging from original paintings of landscapes and portraits, all sorts of hand made jewellery, handmade cards, knitwear, ceramics, stitch craft and a host of other things — too many to list.
There is all sorts suitable for gifts, 43 stands in all and mostly drawn from the local area.
A spokesman for the event said: “For the craft fair to happen, it needs huge commitment from a lot of local people. There are those that store, fetch and carry and set up the stalls and take them down again, there is the administration that goes in to set up the craft fair, there are the stewards, and the food suppliers and kitchen staff.”
Thanks were expressed to all who helped and also to the stall holders for their commitment, and to the shoppers.
One of the organisers, John Lee, said: “If you haven’t made it this time, then just make a note of this time of the year for 2017.”
