THE Tree Inn, in Stratton, is due to be sold during an upcoming auction, after the current owners made the decision to leave the venture.
The pub, based in Stratton, has been for sale since December 2015, and relatively little interest has been generated.
Bob Semple and his wife, Emma, the current owners of the pub, have since decided to sell the Tree Inn by auction, unless sold prior.
This follows their decision to move to Northern Ireland, Bob’s home, where they hope to refurbish and take on Bob’s family farm.
The Tree Inn is now closed, allowing the couple to pack their furniture and effects for shipping to Northern Ireland, and wind up their business affairs.
Bob and Emma said: “We would like to thank all our customers, staff and friends, and all the kind folks of Stratton for their support to us over the last 13 years.”
