A VENUE near Launceston has issued a warning to residents amid a planned fireworks display.

Trethorne Hotel and Golf Club, located at Kennard’s House, say they will be hosting a professional firework display late at night to mark the prom being held for Launceston College leavers.

A spokesperson for the venue said: “Please be advised that on Monday, July 1, we are holding a prom event for Launceston College leavers. There will be a professional firework display at 11pm to end of the evening of celebration.

“Pet owners in the area, please keep all pets and animals safe and calm at this time.”
