THE tenth Leopallooza festival, held near Bude over the weekend, has been announced as the ‘most ambitious event to date’, with numerous bands, DJs and a special guests entertaining festival goers, both young and old.
The event took a very intense amount of organising from a relatively small team, and it seems the uncertainty of the weather didn’t put people off, as thousands bought tickets to the event.
Friday was a challenge as it started out wet, but this didn’t seem to bother anyone, as thousands piled into the arena to enjoy the first volley of bands and DJs that kicked off a weekend full to the brim with fantastic music.
Everyone was blessed with warm, perfect festival weather for the next two days, making it one of the team’s favourite events to date.
Special guest, Seasick Steve, marvelled crowds with his authentic music, making the tenth Leopallooza one to remember.
Cai Waggett, marketing co-ordinator for Leopallooza said: “We’d like to take this opportunity to pass on our sincere thanks to all who helped create our range of new stages. The floor of the new main stage resembled a carpentry workshop up until about 4pm on the Friday before we opened, and it took a small army of helpers to get everything ready on time to open to the public.”
