ONE of Bude’s young residents has been rewarded after her character creation was chosen to represent the town’s library as a mascot.
Recently, Bude Library hosted a competition asking residents to create their very own mascot to represent the facility.
With the town’s youth hard at work, creating artistic masterpieces, it was a tough decision of the library staff.
However, this week, the library team announced that Priya was their winner, presenting her with a t-shirt featuring her design and a craft kit to encourage more creativity.
Priya created Kowan, the booking loving owl.
A spokesperson for the library said: “Kowan is now ter-wit-a-whoo-ing her way through our junior section in the library.”
Visitors to the library will now find Kowan perched on the library’s wall display, encouraging their youngest customers to learn some Cornish through their Rhythmtime singing session with Little Bird Music.
