TWO Bude youngsters, Fraser Salisbury and Joseph Hussey, have achieved their first dan black belt in Korean martial art, taekwondo.
Both students started training at Atlantic Taekwondo, Poughill, when they were just 11-years-old.
After six years attendance and hard work, Atlantic Taekwondo are proud to announce their very first black belts! Supported by their friends, the young men faced a long and arduous grading exam in front of four taekwondo masters who had travelled from Oxford, London and Plymouth to ensure the standards and integrity of the grading.
Club instructor, Jason King, said: “I would like to thank the boys for their hard work, and Dragon Taekwondo, Halwill Junction for polishing these fine students in to an excellent example of what can be achieved with strong spirit and dedication.”
Atlantic Taekwondo train every Saturday morning from 11am-12.30pm at Poughill Village Hall.
