BUDE’S Sam Vickery, who also plays his Colts rugby for Launceston, played for South West England Under 18s on Sunday against the North of England at the University of Warwick.

Not only did the young prop, who is playing a year above his age group, help his side to a 31-31 draw, he also scored a try.

A Bude spokesperson said: “Massive congratulations to this young legend Sam Vickery. He is a year younger than most of his team mates and opponents, so a true credit to his work and commitment!”
