LAUNCESTON have named key centre Cam Fogden at fly-half for Saturday’s final away game of the Regional One South West season at Chew Valley (2.30pm).
The All Blacks are without skipper Tom Sandercock (travelling) and Glenn Coles (work) who often play there, and with joint head coach Ryan Westren preferring Todd Crofts in midfield, Fogden will start at half-back alongside scrum-half Adam Collings.
Tomorrow’s clash in Somerset will be a stern challenge against a Chew side who are unbeaten at home, and who have added incentives after losing the reverse fixture as well as being thrashed 46-19 by strugglers Ivybridge in their last outing.
Westren and fellow joint head coach Ian Goldsmith are boosted by the news that flanker George Bone is fit again, and comes on to the bench where he will join Mitch Hawken and the dropped Jamie Chapman, with Chapman’s place going to Jack Statton.
Ben Bryant moves to the left wing with Statton lining up at outside-centre.
Launceston then have three games to finish the season on March 16 and 23 and April 6, against Devonport Services, Exmouth and Ivybridge.
