NINE Launceston players plus Bude duo Lisa Allin and Tia Larson have been named in the Cornwall Women’s squad for their upcoming Gill Burns County Championship season.
Allin and Larson have recently returned for the Seasiders with Allin having given birth, while Larson has recovered from a serious knee injury.
They are named alongside a number of players who have helped Launceston reach the summit of Women’s NC 2 South West (West).
Forwards Kim Upcott, Jenna Arnold, Megan Arnold and Vicki Doidge have all been named, as have Ellen Armstrong, Emily Kneale, Joey Sandercock, Abbie Smith and Amy Warman.
Former Launceston flanker Nicole Rowland, who plays for Devon outfit Ivybridge is named in the squad who are once again in Division Two - Pool Two.
They start their campaign at home to Hampshire on Sunday, May 12 before consecutive away fixtures over the next two weekends at Hertfordshire and Somerset.
