TINTAGEL have bolstered their squad for the upcoming Cornwall Cricket League campaign with the signing of South African Sherwin Govender.

Govender, who has played for the likes of Andover CC in the Southern Premier League, the British Army and the UK Armed Forces XI, is a UK passport holder and comes with a wealth of experience.

He is set to open the batting with his hard-hitting style and can send down some useful overs of left-arm spin.

Govender will also head up the club’s youth and women’s set-ups at Butts Field, and joins St Lucian Daniel Jn Baptiste for their Division Two East campaign.
