LAUNCESTON ensured they’ll avoid finishing in the bottom two of SWPL Premier West after winning 3-0 at St Dennis last night.
The Clarets had a nightmare start to the campaign under new boss Neil Price after the majority of last season’s squad left.
However since Christmas they have started to show shoots of recovery and ensured they can go into their final game of the season against visiting Sticker knowing their opponents can’t leapfrog them in the standings. Sticker lost 3-2 at St Blazey last night, a result that gave Blazey the title.
Launceston led 2-0 at the break through the impressive Alfie Fothergill and Tom Bullock, before an own goal in the second half ensured a good night’s work for the Clarets.
