Annodata UK Golf Club Classic (round five) — Saturday, August 3

BUDE advanced into the last 16 of this national five-lady team event by easing past Kingsdown (Bath) at the beginning of last month.

Their 4.5-0.5 victory means they’ll face off against fellow Cornish side Perranporth for a spot in the quarter-finals.

Twenty-eight ladies played in this fun competition.

Kay Dinsdale, lady captain, was delighted with how the day went and presented everyone with a beautiful, individually designed jug.

The day was rounded off with a meal.

England Golf Women’s National Final — Wednesday, August 14

Collette Burgess qualified to play in this final at Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire. She had an amazing day and finished tied for second.

Tregarthen Cup

JEAN Yeo played a storming round in the recent Tregarthen Cup.

Since taking up the game again after a ten-year lay-off, she has gone from strength to strength, this week she was seven points ahead of her nearest rival, winning with a score of 40 points.

Second was Juliet Hill (33) with Liz Underwood a point further back.
