By Mark Brumham, club captain at Holsworthy Golf Club

EVERY year Launceston, Bude and Holsworthy hold the ‘Triangle’ inter-club competition, which is three rounds of golf, one at each club, with teams of ten players.

This year the final was held at Holsworthy Golf club, in challenging conditions.

Holsworthy performed well on the day, with top-scoring performances from Mike Lake producing an excellent round of 35 points, Pete Isaac and Ian French, all playing at their home club.

A huge well done to John Percy from Bude for his hole in one on the eighth, a moment and a bar bill to remember!

The Launceston team produced another steady round, coming in second, but with enough points overall for them to retain the Shield for a second consecutive year.

The Triangle Shield was presented by Holsworthy team captain, Lloyd Fursdon, with club captains Derek Bryant (Bude), Mark Brumham (Holsworthy) and Paul Radley (Launceston).
