LAUNCESTON Ladies have named their team for Sunday’s Women’s NC 1 South West (West) title showdown at Bath United (2.30pm).
The Cabettes head up to Somerset knowing that victory would secure back-to-back promotions, but will face a stern test against a home side who can still mathematically win the league.
But a victory from any of Launceston’s last three games – Yeovil and Newton Abbot await in the final two – will get the job done.
Launceston head coach Jimmy Tucker makes just one change from the side that beat Bath 21-7 on February 16 as Rhian Thomas comes in at blindside-flanker for Abigail Matthews.
The Cabettes were then handed a walkover by Hornets a week later to move on to 40 points from nine games.
LAUNCESTON LADIES: Chloe Samways, Rachel Hicks, Meg Tucker, Abbie Smith, Madi Vine, Holly Williams, Amy Warman; Mel Ruby (capt), Jenna Arnold, Kim Upcott, Meg Arnold, Vicki Doidge, Rhian Thomas, Caitlin Hancock, Briony Eddy. Replacements: Libbie Cole, Ann-Marie Risdon, Jess Harrison, Joey Bartlett, Lauren Carlyon, Abigail Matthews, Josie Ninnis.
