IT’S finally starting to feel like summer and with that means the Bond Timber Cornwall Cricket League programme is in full swing.
It features heavily in this week’s Post Series with match reports and scoreboards from the ECB Cornwall Premier League games at Callington and Werrington plus there’s reaction from Werrington skipper Nick Lawson to their six-run defeat to Helston.
As usual there’s round-ups from Division Two East down to Division Six East as well as all the scores, plus reports on home wins for Bude and Tintagel over Luckett and Holsworthy respectively.
There is also a brief summary of South Petherwin Ladies’ first ever league game as they took on St Stephen, where they ran out convincing winners.
Away from the cricket and although the majority of divisions in the football are now finished, the East Cornwall Premier League and Duchy League are still going.
In the ECPL, North Petherwin and St Minver ended their campaigns. Inside are reports from both plus a match report on Southgate Seniors securing the Duchy League Premier Division crown.
We also check in on the latest in the North Devon League as Shebbear United guaranteed survival and Morwenstow lost a key game at home to Langtree Lions in their promotion decider in Intermediate Two.
Rugby wise there’s a report on Cornwall’s agonising defeat to Kent in the Bill Beaumont County Championship plus news of Launceston’s opponents in Regional One South West next season.
There are also weekly reports from Upper Tamar Lake Sailing Club, Kensey Vale and Bude bowling clubs and Launceston Road Runners, plus more.
