ADRIAN Carter, son of Mr and Mrs R Carter of the Elms Guest House, Bude, has won the title for best up-and-coming Electronic Engineer of Europe.

He is a former pupil of Budehaven Community School and Exeter University, where he studied for four years and achieved a First Class Masters degree in Electronic Engineering. Adrian now lives in St Neot and works for Pico Technology.
