BUDE RFC held their annual Boxing Day fixture on December 26 in front of a good-sized crowd at Bencoolen Meadow.

It was a chance for current and former players to dust off the boots following the Christmas festivities as two mix and match teams slugged it out.

A club spokesperson said: “Boxing Day was an excellent celebration of grassroots rugby down at Bencoolen Meadow, and it didn’t disappoint.

“A close-fought game, between two equally matched teams. The result wasn’t really that important. Such a good day down the club with friends and family.

“And it was great Bude legend Paul Cholwill played a full game against his son and future club legend Harvey Cholwill! A very proud moment for Chubby!”
